Keswick
Keswick is a market town in the English Lake District featuring a wide range of shops, pubs and places to eat. The town hosts a number of museums including the Pencil Museum. The Alhambra cinema and Theatre by the Lake offer entertainment within walking distance of the cottage. Keswick is also an ideal base for exploring elsewhere in the Lake District, with most other areas being reachable within an hours drive or accessible via public transport (Stagecoach buses).
The local area is widely regarded as one of the most scenic in the UK; local attractions include Derwentwater lake, Castlerigg Stone Circle, Ashness Bridge and some the most popular Lakeland fells such as Catbells, Latrigg and Skiddaw.
